Messaging User Guide
Introduction
Messaging is a service which allows your organisation to communicate with your customers via SMS text message, or via email.
Access to messaging is via the allpay Payments Hub with an email address and a password. Payments Hub is a secure web application hosted on allpay’s Microsoft Azure Cloud. Users will require a suitable web browser including:
· Edge
· Chrome
· Firefox
· Safari
Most standard Windows and Mac computers come with one of the above browsers installed but please note that Internet Explorer is not supported.
Using Messaging
It is quick and simple to use the allpay messaging service. Any organisation enabled for Messenger will have the permission Messenger within their Payments Hub user management page available for new and existing users. Please refer to the Payments Hub user guide for further guidance on user management within the Payments Hub.
Users with the Messenger permission will be able to access messaging as outlined in the below section.
Access Messaging
To access the Messaging service, login to the allpay Payments Hub and select Messaging via the dashboard or underneath Manage Customers on the quick navigation
After selecting this you will be presented with the below:
Please Note: allpay does not take responsibility for the content of any messages transmitted through this service.
Email or SMS
Firstly, decide whether you would like to send the communication via Email or SMS with the radial buttons at the top.
Depending on your selection you may require a subject and will have a different character limit:
· Email – 4000 characters
· SMS – 160 characters
Use either the Phone numbers or the Email addresses box respectively to enter the phone number or email address for the customer that you would like to receive this message.
Once you have entered an email address, select the enter key. You can add multiple email addresses or phone numbers toa message by selecting the enter key after each is entered. When copying multiple email addresses or phone numbers from a separate block of text, remember to separate each entry with a comma. The system will automatically recognize the comma as a delimiter, treating each entry as a separate recipient
Message Contents
Next, enter the content of the message in the Message box. If you are using messaging via email you will need to enter a subject in the Subject box.
Please remember to include your organisation name in the contents of the message or the subject field (if using email) as this may confuse customers otherwise.
Once you are satisfied with the recipients, subject (if applicable) and message contents, select Send Message.
The message above will appear like this:
Emails are sent from maildispatcher@allpay.net .
